Trianglular Sodalite, Silver, and Burnt Copper Pendant
Sodalite is a deep indigo blue stone with white and black veins typically. However, when cutting it, Brighid realized this sodalite also had orange streaks and clouds in it, which made her think that copper would bring out the colors in the stone best.
Since copper develops a patina over time left to its own devices, she fired the metal under a blow torch to give it a rustic looking red-orange patina that we think really contrasts against the blue body of the stone and highlights the orange flecks. She then set the stone in a fine silver bezel and used sterling silver accents. She further sealed the copper with a clear coat just for good measure.
The combo really has a Boho feel.
100% handmade by Brighid, she cut the stone and did all of the metalsmithing.
