Frequently Asked Questions

What are the payment options?

We accept payment through credit cards and Paypal.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 7 day review policy on our store gemstones. All stones returned must be in original condition. Contact us for questions or assistance.

All custom jewelry and stones cut on request sales are final.

What are my setting options?

Stones are available independently and do not require us to set them. You are more than welcome to take them to your own

jeweler. However, if you are interested in having your stone set by us, please contact us to discuss what you have in mind.

Setting options are stone dependent. Some settings can be fabricated here, and for some setting types we work with Stuller. However, there are certain setting styles that we cannot handle. For those, we recommend purchasing your stone and taking it to you local full service custom jeweler.

Are your gemstones real?

All of our stones are genuine. Most stones are untreated stones. However, there may be times when the stone rough has been treated with industry standard practices, such as heating for citrine. Where possible, the stone origin is identified.

Synthetics are not in my store, however if you have a specific request involving a synthetic that you would like to discuss, cutting this material is available on a bespoke basis.

Will you cut my gemstones?

Yes! I will be happy to access your rough to see if it is better for faceting or cabochoning. Many stones are not suitable for faceting, and others will not improve in clarity or color with faceting.  Please message me with pictures of your stone and measurements in mm to start a discussion about how I can help you. If you want them set after cutting, I will be happy to work with you to send you a finished piece of jewelry.

Why is there so little stock in your shop?

Thank you for shopping! The online shop frequently has fewer products than most people are used to seeing on traditional jeweler's webpages. There are a few reasons for this. First, as a small business of one. I cannot compete with the volume of output of retails who sell mass-produced goods. All of my jewelry items are handmade by me, and each piece is specific to the stone(s) used in it. Once a piece sells, it is gone, as gemstone pieces tend to one of a kind.

Another reason is that all of my finished gems and finished jewelry are first posted to my social media feed. Many pieces sell from DMs off those posts and reels before they ever make it to the website. So, if you follow me on social media and are interested in something you see posted, please contact me!

That being said, if you see a picture of something I have made in the past, a particular type or cut of stone that I have done, and are interested in something similar, please let me! I can recreate many jewelry items with the stone of your choice.

Do you take commissions?

Yes! In addition to having a large range of rough gemstones to make sure I have a wide selection available to my customers, I can also source rough if I do not have the right piece in stock.  In addition to taking commissions on loose stones, most of the jewelry pieces I create for customers are commissions.

People come to me with an idea of something they want created and know they can't just walk into the mall jeweler and buy. That had been everything from fine jewelry, to cufflinks, bolo ties, earrings made from a specific cut, to jewelry replica of TV and movie pieces made to withstand everyday wear. I'll be happy to work with you to create unique jewelry with my stones. â€‹

While most of the jewelry I make are bespoke custom pieces, if you see a picture of something I have made in the past, a particular type or cut of stone that I have done, and are interested in something similar, please let me! I can recreate many jewelry items with the stone of your choice.

How long do custom cut gemstones or custom jewelry take?

There is no specific answer I can provide for that. Time for any custom project can be a matter of days if I have the required materials in stock and nothing else in my customer queue or longer. Some projects that require waxes to be sent off for casting, or gem rough to arrive from my suppliers, will have a minimum 2 week turn around time.

Custom cut parcels are welcome, however for stone orders over 10 stones at a time, please understand that single stone requests and small individual jewelry projects may be addressed before the entire parcel is completed. This allows my one-off customers a chance to have their requests met without having to find/wait for a slot from business customers.

For gifts please let me know as early in advance as possible, so I can ensure I have your item to you for your special occasion.  I will take custom jewelry orders for Christmas beginning in October and will stop accepting new orders for the holidays once I have reached the maximum orders I can take, or December 10th, whichever come first. Orders placed in December may face shipping delays based on package volume going through USPS.
